Most providers begin with a Readiness Diagnostic, then progress to the Sprint or Retainer where ongoing support is needed.

Readiness Diagnostic

A structured review of your current systems, documents and evidence against the Strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards. Includes a 90-minute interview, desktop document review, and a written report with prioritised risk register and 90-day remediation roadmap.

Fixed fee: $1,495 + GST

Audit-Ready Sprint

A six-week engagement to build a complete, audit-ready quality management system for your service. Includes a full policy and procedure suite, document control framework, internal audit, mock regulator visit, and handover pack.

From $11,500 + GST
03

Quality Manager Retainer

Ongoing fractional Quality Manager support — document control, internal audits, complaints triage, governance reporting and advisory. The equivalent of an in-house compliance lead, without the full-time salary.

From $1,950/month + GST

On-Site Environment Audit

Half-day on-site assessment for residential providers covering environment, IPC, and food safety (Standards 4, 6, and 7). Available as an add-on to the Readiness Diagnostic.

Audit & Standards Co is a Perth-based quality and compliance consultancy supporting small and mid-sized aged care providers with audit readiness, quality systems and standards-based compliance.

Founded by a quality and accreditation specialist with over a decade of senior experience within highly accredited Australian healthcare environments, including frameworks accredited under NATA, the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA), and the National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) Standards — with first-hand experience designing and building quality management systems from the ground up within a Western Australian tertiary hospital setting.

Privacy Policy

Audit & Standards Co (ABN 16 914 177 340), operated by Michael Gyi trading as Audit & Standards Co, provides quality and compliance consulting services to aged care providers in Western Australia. We are committed to protecting the privacy of personal information in compliance with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

What we collect

Names, roles, contact details, and business information of client contacts; organisational documents including complaints registers, incident registers, risk registers, and quality management documentation; de-identified care plans provided for desktop review; and audio/video recordings of interviews via Microsoft Teams, recorded with consent.

How we collect

Directly from clients through Teams interviews, documents provided by email or shared cloud folder, email correspondence, and publicly available information.

Why we collect

Solely to deliver consulting services: Readiness Diagnostics, Audit-Ready Sprints, Quality Manager Retainer services, invoicing, and marketing (testimonials only, with express written consent).

Storage and protection

All files are stored in Microsoft OneDrive for Business in Australian data centres with enterprise-grade encryption. Interview recordings are retained for a maximum of 12 months and deleted on written request. All devices are password-protected with multi-factor authentication enabled. No client information is stored on personal devices or shared via personal messaging applications. AI tools are used only for document drafting assistance, with no client-identifiable information entered unless the tool confirms Privacy Act compliance.

Disclosure

We do not disclose client information to any third party — including the ACQSC — without express written consent, except where required by law or to prevent a serious threat to life, health, or safety. We do not sell information or transfer it outside Australia.

Retention

Diagnostic reports and financial records are retained for 7 years. Interview recordings, client documents received, and working files are retained for 12 months from the engagement date, then permanently deleted. Recordings are deleted earlier on the client's written request.

Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information at any time. We will respond to all requests within 30 days.

Data breach response

In the event of a data breach, we will assess whether serious harm is likely, notify affected individuals and the OAIC as required under the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme, and take immediate steps to contain and prevent recurrence.
